Shadows Silhouette An enormous shadow casts itself on your brick wall Those it encumbers Loses the ability to use their internal compass It reaks of meek And passes failure through your nostrils As you're clouded by its judgment You begin to lose sight Becoming blinded by the illusion of justice Your heart beats like a gavel Drumming in unison to its song of truth As the shadow enlarges before you An eerie aching fills your stomach Clenches tightly to hold on Boa constricting your movements A temporary paralysis Foreshadowing your dreams & nightmares The ears take in an ensemble of ideals Your skin peels Shedding the systematic cyst The volcano within begins to erupt and a light illuminates from the valleys of your body You'll scramble, trying to put the pieces of the jigsaw anatomy back together (Trying to hold on to what's left...) The parts of you become particles that fireflies away The seeds from your dandelion drift into the air with a single blow The shadow revolves around you Waves of emotion hit the reflection inside your puddle Evolving you into a tide within the ocean You grow and flow into castles made of sand The shadow casts from your mast as you set sail It does not hover over you Like it did before You tower it Your body now a ship that houses the north star Guiding you You are fixed And your shadow silhouettes beauty Attracting the sun and moon causing them to eclipse
